1. 1 its Alaska Set your watch back one hour. Remember that if the sun rises in the east and sets in the west then think of it as occuring earlier in the more eastern time zones (because it does). And thus the eastern time zone in one hour ahead of the central. Central one hour ahead of mountain and mountian one hour ahead of pacific.
2. Only one sate is north of 60 N, and that's Alaska! You need to set your watch back an hour, ex. from 10:00am to 9:00am. That's because the sun's progression averages one hour behind EST's
